Korean movie Train to Busan has released their trailers and you’d know how epic it seems to be after you’ve watched it.
The plot follows a disastrous virus hitting South Korea and passengers on a KTX train from Seoul to Busan struggle to survive.
Labelled as an action and suspense/thriller film, this movie will make you excited af – because the trailer alone seems too great and it stars Gong Yoo!
It takes place on a bullet train
With the many zombie shows on the rise, this should one of the few movies about a zombie outbreak. As a movie, there are lots of constraints regarding the production of a zombie apocalypse.
But due to the fact that it is happening on a train or train station, it is possible in all ways. There is literally no place to run to, no place to hide so we’ll be able to see how these characters survive the viral outbreak.
It’s tragic
Can you imagine surviving a zombie outbreak? It’s not as simple as fighting off these monsters. The film depicts this unidentified virus that sweeps the country, and the Korean government declares martial law.
Those on the train to Busan, a city that has successfully fended off the outbreak must fight for their own survival while protecting their loved ones. There are students on board as well, not to mention, a pregnant lady! And god knows if the poor little girl is going to survive.
Full of suspense and thrill
This high-level suspense film starts when the little girl sees someone outside the train station pouncing on another person. The suspense grows when they leave the train and go to an empty station.
There is lots of chaos and it becomes a dog-eat-dog world. The movie seems to emphasise on the suspense and tension built since it’s a suspense/thriller movie instead of horror.
It’s scary
It definitely has some scary scenes – such as when a girl starts acting weird all of a sudden in the train, (when Gong Yoo is just sitting so near to her) and all her veins pop like a monster you’d think she’s morphing into the incredible hulk or something.
People start pouncing, jumping, crawling or flying and you can’t seem to differentiate they’re zombies or humans.
It’s cool
The film shows the Korean army once again if you’re reminiscing about DoTS – except they come back as zombies. We are soo excited to see the zombie morphing process of the people, from human to infected.
Action scenes
There’s going to be action scenes since the living would need to fend themselves against the zombies. We’ll see Gong Yoo fighting, hopefully.
Big scale scenes
We don’t care if it’s CGI or real life, but it looks too good when the zombies (or was it humans?) chase after the train. There are going to be lots of infected and you’re going to love it, fans of zombies!
This film might just make your heart pound along with the characters in the show, so don’t forget to mark your calendars for this upcoming movie.
