Today is not a good day.
Other than a report of 14 new community cases, in which 5 were students and a staff member from 5 different schools, the average daily community cases have now officially doubled.
Since the end of Circuit Breaker, the number of new cases in the community has increased, from an average of 4 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 8 per day in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has remained stable at an average of 4 per day in the past two weeks.
Also, MOH updated the list of places COVID-19 have been to, and one of them is Mustafa Centre—the place that we’re all too familiar with.

Other than Mustafa Centre, the new places added were Tampines Mall basement 1 and Geylang Serai Market and Food Centre, whereby some was there for 1.5 hour.
There’s no need to avoid these places as NEA will engage the management of affected premises to provide guidance on cleaning and disinfection.
However, people who had been at these locations during the specified timings should monitor their health closely for 14 days from their date of visit. They should see a doctor promptly if they develop symptoms of acute respiratory infection (such as cough, sore throat and runny nose), as well as fever and loss of taste or smell, and inform the doctor of their exposure history.
Updates on Community Cases
Out of the 10 Singaporeans / Singapore PRs, 5 of them were picked up from MOH’s proactive testing of school staff and students above the age of 12 diagnosed with acute respiratory infection (ARI) at first presentation to a doctor. You can read more about MOE’s response here.

3 other cases were tested as they had prolonged ARI symptoms. Another case picked up as part of MOH’s efforts to screen workers in essential services. Epidemiological investigations are ongoing for the remaining case.
As for the 4 other cases that comprise foreigners living in Singapore, they were all picked up due to proactive screening as well, and 2 of them are linked to previously confirmed cases. The other 2 comprise a student and an essential worker.
So far, 295 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, and 12,704 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
3 are in ICU.
