Authorities Said Nas Daily Has Sought Permission to Film Video Whereby He Didn’t Wear a Mask

On 23 April 2020, you might have come across this video:

The video showed Nas Daily’s Nuseir Yassin going down to Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque at Kampong Glam).

It wasn’t known when the footage was taken but netizens were wondering if the video has shown him flouting the safe distancing and circuit breaker measures which started on 7 Apr.

That and the fact that in the video, he was filmed not wearing his mask properly.

Turns out, he has actually applied to film legally.

And throughout the weeks, haters have been slamming him online, wondering why he was able to film and why he wasn’t wearing his mask properly, which he did reply to:

But he didn’t address the questions of why he was allowed to film and when it took place.

Ministry Of Trade And Industry Responds

According to Mothership.sg, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) went to check things out and found that NAS Daily has applied for a time-limited exemption (TLE) to film the video.

According to GoBusiness:

A TLE can be applied for by non-essential businesses to carry out business activities for a limited time.

The total number of employees activated must not exceed 10, or 25% of your total employees in the company (whichever is lower).

From 26 Apr 2020 onwards, a company can submit a total of two applications per week until the lifting of Circuit Breaker.

As for the improper wearing of mask, there wasn’t any mention about it.

NAS Daily was in the news too, but for a different reason.

He wanted to do his part for the Singapore community and has raised over $170,000 worth of funds and resources that small companies in Singapore can apply for.

Like many other companies, Nas Daily has had to move their operations online due to the circuit breaker measures in place.

And because he knows how expensive it is for small businesses to do that, Nas wants to help local businesses out.

The Nas Company, his company in Singapore, donated the first $10,000, and after two weeks, over 30 companies have donated to the fund, with over $170,000 worth of resources, training, and financial capital.

So how exactly will they help?
