By now, most of us would already be familiar with Nas Daily and his 1-minute videos.
But just in case your name happens to be Patrick and you live under a rock…
Who Is Nas Daily?
Nas Daily is created by 26-year-old Nuseir Yassin who’s a Palestinian-Israeli born and raised in Israel. He attended Harvard University before working briefly as a software engineer in New York City.
He then decided to embark on a trip and posted 1-minute videos of his travels on Facebook, which focused on other people and their lives. Needless to say, he went viral.
Like, really viral.
If there was a scale for viral-ness, he’d probably be at the top, because each Facebook video garnered millions of views.
That said, his journey hasn’t always been smooth. For starters, he recently came under fire when he announced that he was hiring a Vietnamese, to join his Singapore team, since his move to Singapore.
He fought back the haters and explained that he was going to train the Vietnamese in Singapore before the employee is sent over to join the Vietnamese team.
Why 1-Minute Videos
So by now, you must be wondering, why 1-minute videos? Why not 10-minutes or 5-minutes?
Well, he recently took to Facebook to explain the reason.
He Felt That He Didn’t Deserve More Than 1-Minute Of Our Time
In the video, he reveals that he makes 1-minute videos because he felt like he didn’t deserve our time.
Wait, what?
I actually replayed the video to make sure that I was hearing it right. The dude who graduated from Harvard, travelled the world and posts thousands of videos felt insecure.
He went on to explain that he doesn’t believe that he deserves our attention. According to Nuseir, it stemmed ever since he was a child and he believes it is because he’s a minority.
If anything, this proves that we shouldn’t let our fears and insecurities hold us back from achieving our dreams – he certainly did not.
Insecurity Disappearing With The Release Of His Book
So why is he finally telling us all of this?
Well, Nuseir has just released a book titled Around the world in 60 Seconds.
He goes on to explain that his insecurity is “disappearing with the release of this book.”
I suppose this is because we would probably need more than a minute to finish reading the book.
And it is most probably worthy of our time:
He released the book after working on it for 2 whole years, and according to Nuseir, it contains hundreds of stories from 64 countries.
Nuseir can finally add ‘author’ to his biography.
It’s Not A Travel Book
He wants to reaffirm that the book is not a travel book. Instead, it’s “a book about humans,” which will cover their life experiences.
Nuseir hopes to share his message of tolerance, acceptance and diversity to the world because there is “too much hate and pessimism in the world.”
For those interested, the book is available for preorder here.
Ah, wholesome content the world is in dire need of.
