Yesterday, we wrote about places all around the island where you can watch fireworks without squeezing (too much).
These sites aren’t just for watching fireworks and aeroplanes.
On 5 and 6 August 2023, these ActiveSG stadiums will be converted into a NDP-Sports extravaganza where you can experience bouncy castles, eat good food and try out Nerf battles.
NDP 2023: Singaporeans & Singapore PRs Can Apply for NDP 2023 Heartlands Celebration from 15 July 2023
From 15 July 2023, at 12pm, Singaporeans and Singapore PRs can apply for the NDP 2023 Heartlands Celebration.
The heartland sites are:
- Jurong West Sports Centre
- Woodlands Sports Centre
- Toa Payoh Sports Centre
- Bedok Sports Centre
- Our Tampines Hub
The sites will host the festivities on both days from 4pm to 9pm, except for Our Tampines Hub, which will only host activities on 6 Aug 2023.
You can either apply for e-tickets on the NDP website.
Conditions to Take Note of
If you’re thinking of touring around two (or more) sites during that weekend, you’re going to be sorely disappointed.
Each applicant can only submit one application to any of the five sites. Any subsequent submissions will be deemed invalid.
You can choose to apply for two to four tickets per submission.
Also, make sure to be fast because the tickets are allocated on a “first-come-first-serve” basis, similar to the 9 August fireworks display at these sites.
If you’re below 16 years old, you will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
In other words, if you’re in secondary 3 and you want to hang out with friends at these places, you got to hang out with your friends and their parents.
Each ticket only admits one person, including infants carried by parents.
How to Know if You’ve Succeeded in the Lottery
Successful applicants will receive e-tickets within two to three working days via email.
So make sure to keep a lookout for the email in your inbox, spam or junk folders from [email protected].
It’s Not Just E-Application
For those who are not comfortable or familiar with using anything electronic, there’s also a physical redemption option.
It works pretty much the same way as the electronic version.
The distribution of physical tickets is on a first-come-first-served basis, and it starts on 15 July from 12pm.
You must bring along your NRIC to collect the tickets and each NRIC cardholder is entitled to two or four physical tickets.
Unlike the website, you’ll have to make your way to specific places for different site locations:
- Bedok Sports Centre: Collect tickets from Safra Punggol and SAFRA Tampines
- Jurong West Sport Centre: Collect tickets from Safra Jurong
- Toa Payoh Sport Centre: Collect your tickets from Safra Mount Faber and Safra Toa Payoh
- Woodlands Sports Centre: Collect from Safra Choa Chu Kang and Safra Yishun
- Our Tampiens Hub: Collect from Safra Punggol and Safra Tampines
If you’re a scalper thinking of trying to make some moolah from these tickets, think again.
The organiser behind these festivities says they’ll take action against scalpers or fraudsters.
