There are some things in life you’d never expect to see.
You’d never see, for instance, Donald Trump lip-syncing in a TikTok video.
Or an empty bubble tea store in Singapore.
Or a squirrel knocking on your door and delivering your food.
These things don’t happen because they’re not supposed to happen. To do otherwise would be to go against the laws of the universe.
But that’s exactly what this man did when he hung seven slabs of raw pork belly outside his window.
Man Irked at Neighbour Drying Raw Pork Belly Together With Clothes Outside Kitchen Window
A man has taken to Facebook to air his frustrations over a rather odd sight outside his neighbour’s kitchen window.
The man shared the post on the Facebook page Complaint Singapore on Sunday (11 Oct).
The man was complaining about his neighbour, who had hung seven slabs of raw pork belly outside his kitchen window.
What makes this even more peculiar is that he even hung them out to dry alongside their wet clothes.
Confused? Disgusted? Well, you’re not the only one.
“My neighbours and I are speechless. If you have someone like them, how do you feel? I believe you will get pissed. Are they selling homemade bacon? They are ridiculous, selfish and unhygiene people,” the irked man said.
Netizens’ Reaction
Netizens certainly agreed with the man, with some calling the neighbour “selfish” and “unhygienic”.
Others pointed out that it was insensitive to their Muslim neighbours, who might be living below them.
The oil from the hanging pork might drop onto clothes hanging below, which is something no one wants.
Some netizens speculated that the neighbour was running a home-based business, and that they were drying their meat to make preserved pork belly to sell.
However, with Singapore’s humid climate and hungry insects on the prowl, the meat might end up spoiling and leave a smell that isn’t exactly pleasant.
Not the First Time
Believe it or not, this isn’t the first time someone has hung pork outside their window to dry.
Back in 2018, strips of raw meat were seen hanging over air-conditioner compressor vents outside a second-storey HDB corridor in Beach Road.
The meat was allegedly being dried to make jerky so it could later be sold.
As previously mentioned, the drying meat not only smells bad, but attracts flies and birds.
Now that we’ve seen pork hanging out of a window, though, don’t be surprised to see Donald Trump lip-syncing WAP in a TikTok video of his own, because it’s 2020, and anything can happen.
