If you’re an avid fan of streaming service Netflix, I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It seems that Netflix Singapore has once again increased its subscription prices:
For the fourth time since its launch in January 2016.
Netflix Singapore Hikes Subscription Prices by S$2 to S$4 across All Plans from 18 Apr 2025
The latest adjustment, effective from 18 Apr 2025, sees monthly fees rise by S$2 to S$4, depending on the plan.

The basic plan, which allows streaming on one screen, now costs S$15.98 per month, up from S$13.98. The standard plan, supporting two screens, has moved from S$19.98 to S$22.98. The premium plan, offering four screens and Ultra HD streaming, has jumped from S$25.98 to S$29.98.
This price revision follows a previous increase in February 2024. Back then, the basic plan rose from S$12.98 to S$13.98, the standard plan from S$17.48 to S$19.98, and the premium plan from S$21.98 to S$25.98. The original launch prices in 2016 were S$10.98 for basic, S$13.98 for standard and S$16.98 for premium.
Netflix Singapore currently offers three subscription plans. Each tier includes different features. The premium plan provides Ultra HD streaming, access on up to four screens, downloads on six devices, spatial sound, and the option to add non-family members.
The streaming service has stated, “Starting 18 Apr, we’re adjusting prices in Singapore, with memberships starting at S$15.98”. Netflix added, “We offer a range of prices and plans to meet a variety of needs, and as we deliver more value to our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a bit more”.
Similar Increases
This price hike comes after similar increases in other major markets. In its first-quarter 2025 results, Netflix reported Asia-Pacific revenue growth of 25 per cent year on year, reaching US$1.3 billion. The company’s global revenue for Q1 2025 rose to US$10.5 billion, with net income at US$2.8 billion.
Netflix’s price changes in Singapore have occurred in January 2020, October 2021, February 2024, and now April 2025. The company has not yet launched ad-supported plans in the Asia-Pacific region, but such options are expected to roll out in the second quarter of 2025, potentially offering lower-priced alternatives.
Netflix remains the streaming home for popular titles such as Squid Game, Business Proposal, Bridgerton, and Adolescence.
