If you’ve been following the news lately, you’re probably depressed.
Molest cases, missing girls, suicides, and SG Nasi Lemak.
For those who don’t know, SG Nasi Lemak is a Telegram group chat used by Singaporeans to upload and share photos of women without their consent.
It’s primarily used to share lewd content, such as pictures of unsuspecting women on public transport, screenshots from Instagram, and nudes.
Gross.
Fortunately, the police found the administrators of the revolting group and arrested them. They will be charged in court Oct 22 and could face jail terms of up to three months, fines, or both.
These men not only uploaded and shared pictures of women without their consent, but they also DARED to sully the good name of Nasi Lemak.
Well, something had to be done.
New ‘SG Nasi Lemak’ Chat Group Posts Pictures And Reviews Of Actual Nasi Lemak
To many Singaporeans, Nasi Lemak was like love at first bite.
The coconuty rice served with fried chicken, eggs, and a delectable sambal sauce is a goddamn national treasure.
Lucky for us, some Singaporean vigilantes created a new Telegram group that posts actual pictures of Nasi Lemak.
Wholesome SG Nasi Lemak
Also called SG Nasi Lemak, this wholesome Telegram group currently has 240 members who share photos of their delicious Nasi Lemak meals.
Their description simply says “Unadulterated Nasi Lemak content”.
And, it’s exactly as advertised.
They even created a Nasi Lemak sticker:
In addition to reviewing Nasi Lemak stalls around Singapore, the users also have debates about things like how one should consume the tasty dish.
No matter how you take your Nasi Lemak, we can all agree on one thing: Nasi Lemak makes our mouths happy.
Let’s celebrate this wholesome group because they’re doing the lord’s work here.
And if you decide to join the group, remember: don’t do it when you’re hungry. You’ll get hungrier.
