I‘m pretty sure you’re no stranger to mala xiang guo.

But how about salted egg xiang guo? Served up with salted egg sauce, salted egg yolk and fish skin and all that jazz.

If you’re a firm believer in #saltedeggeverything, here’s something you need to know.

You Can Now Get Salted Egg Xiang Guo at Golden Mile Food Centre

Similar to normal mala xiang guo, you choose the ingredients that you want and get them to stir fry in saucy goodness.

Except instead of the usual mala, they’ll stir fry it with a rich, delicious salted egg sauce and top it off with crispy, fried fish skin.

  • Meat (S$2)
  • Beef (S$3)

It’s Not Another McDonald’s Salted Egg Loaded Fries Incident

If you’re wary about trying out new salted egg stuff because of McDonald’s, don’t be.

According to this online food review, the salted egg sauce is rich, decadent and aromatic.

You can see chunks of salted egg yolk, chilli padi and curry leaves poking out bashfully from the bowl of yellow goodness.

Every ingredient selected is thoroughly coated with a layer of the salted egg sauce.

But you got to eat fast because the salted egg sauce will dry up, leaving a goopy mess to deal with.

That and you’ll need tea to wash down the gelat-ness.

Because one review can be subjective, right?

Well, we’ve gone digging around and while the shop has only been opened for just one week, it’s already getting rave reviews from their customers.

The portion was generous and the service is pretty good as well.
