A recent study by an undergraduate at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canadahas, has shown that it’s the funny guys who get the girls!

It’s revealed in the study that people with more sense of humour were deemed to be more attractive than those with less.

“Humor is influential,” said lead study author Daniel Doerksen.

Apparently, humour contributes to a person’s attractiveness.

A total of 50 male college students and 50 female college students participated in the speed-dating event for the study. The researchers then rated the photos of the people involved and averaged the results.

The researchers had no interactions with the individuals, hence they could not pass any judgements about their personalities or senses of humour.

The students then went on 5 to 10 dates each with the other students. The students were then made to answer a couple of questions about their date.

The researchers’ ratings and students’ ratings were then compared. The more humorous people were found to be more attractive with higher ratings.

Could this be true?

Do appearances really not matter (to a certain degree, I guess)?

Hmm, what else is better than using our own office personnel as an example? Let’s take a look at some of us from the Goody Feed office.

Despite it being awfully obvious that these two guys were thrown at a wall, face first, when they were born, they are the ones who are attached at the moment.

The handsome and dashing ones (especially the one on the right) on the other hand:

Single and available. (Take your pick, ladies. Although we recommend the right one.)

Hence, this probably goes to show that your physical appearance has little to do with whether you have a girlfriend or not!

As for whether the first two guys are humorous or not…

…Well, I guess they are lame enough to be considered funny.

That being said, always be confident about yourself. Personally, I believe that the way you carry yourself affects what other people think about you.

Hence, go forth, my brethren! It’s time for funny guys like us to shine!

(P.S. Don’t be a creep)
