So, in the last two days, everyone has been talking about the data plan price war—yeah, it’s extremely newsworthy, it’s extremely relevant and it’s extremely good, but what good is a phone with 10 GB of data when your battery is dry?
Especially since with more data, we tend to watch more streaming videos. And that sucks data + battery like crazy.
Here’s the news that is even more important: soon, buses in Singapore might have charging ports.
This is like, WOW.
Okay, so the media has reported about how more Singaporeans have voted for all public buses to be green instead of red (winning by just 144 votes). To be honest, I don’t care.
Then, here’s the interesting part: LTA has also revealed two concept buses, and here’re the features: there would be three doors (okay…), screen that shows where the bus route and where it is (finally, no need to use GPS!) and USB charging ports (I see. Wait, say what!?)
Yes, that means if you forget to charge your phone, you can do it during your journey to work! Or if you want to watch that Running Man episode that you’ve been wanting to watch, but are afraid that you’ll drain out all your battery juice during the journey, you can do so now!
I don’t know about you, but life has just got better here in Singapore.
