Next 2 Weeks Still Going to Be Rainy But They Won’t Be During Peak Hours

Remember two weeks ago, when we wrote about the weather forecast based on a weatherman’s forecast?

It’s extremely accurate: I know because the Goody Feed video team needed to do several outdoor filming and I advised them to do it early in the morning or during the late afternoon, as the weatherman has mentioned that rain would usually occur in the late morning and early afternoon.

Yesterday, that weatherman has disappeared; maybe being inaccurate is the weatherman’s KPI, and for him to be so accurate, that’s abnormal.

Instead, a chiobu weatherwoman has taken over, and she’s giving us some good news as well.

Same Weather Conditions for the Next Two Weeks

Lest you’re not aware, the Meteorological Service Singapore (i.e. weatherpeople) has a YouTube channel with a whopping 71 subscribers. They’ve often posted animations of weather forecasts that only they themselves watch, but since two months ago, a real person would report the weather and it’s been interesting to watch.

And for this fortnight?

According to Lim Li-Sha, it’s going to be the same weather conditions.

There would be thundery showers mostly in the late morning and early afternoon for four to six days. The bad news is that on some days, they could extend into the evening, and on two to three days, there might be rain between predawn and morning (bad if you’re one who leaves the house at 6:00 a.m.).

And it’s already accurate today (15 June 2019): there was a heavy rain about 10:00 a.m. this morning.

So it’s good news if you’re working office hours because the rain would only occur when you’re sleeping working in the comfort of your office.

Though I’ll suggest leaving an umbrella in the office: in the last two weeks, we couldn’t even order delivery due to the rain. Unless, that is, there’s an eatery in your office building lah.

You can watch Ms Lim’s soft and warm video here:

Hot on the Last Week of June

If you’ve upped the volume of the video, you’d also hear a bad news from the smiling Ms Lim: on the last week of June, it might be hot.

How hot, you ask Ms Lim.

Up to 35°C, she says with a smile.

And if you remember, nights were rather warm in the last two weeks, with night-time temperature up to 28°C. Unfortunately, this will persist in the next two weeks as well, so take this time to wash your blanket since you won’t be needing it (again).

Previous Two Weeks

By now, you should know that it’s generally wet on the first two weeks of June as fifty years passed by regularly. As expected, rainfall was above average.

The goody thing is that in the previous two weeks, it was rather cool, with the highest temperature being recorded in Choa Chu Kang and Pulau Ubin at 33.9°C.

So if history repeats itself, then avoid Choa Chu Kang if you don’t want to become a roasted chicken.
