Video Courses By Ngee Ann Polytechnic
With the help of a new series of video courses by Ngee Ann Polytechnic called The Master Collective, adult learners can now pick up skills from well-known digital media personalities.
The series includes (but are not limited to) lessons on how to become a social media influencer and building a digital platform with millions of users.
Besides hearing stories from successful self-starters, The Master Collective will also cover relevant and practical skills to those who are seeking self-improvement.
Influencers Involved
The first course is set to start on 9 September (which, by the way, is tomorrow!) and each course takes about seven hours to complete. Everything is online so you won’t need to leave your house to be the next big influencer.
It will feature a few high-profile social media influencers: Bong Qiu Qiu, a blogger with 292,000 Instagram followers; Malaque Mahdaly, former Singapore Idol participant with 187,000 followers on Instagram and Tan Jun Jie, a vlogger who co-founded The Meatmen Channel.
They will share their story of how they became influencers and tips on how they maintain their social media presence.
The second course, to start on 16 September, will feature Rachel Lim, founder of Love, Bonito, who will teach participants how to start their own fashion and lifestyle businesses.
Actor and director, Alaric Tay, who’s famous for his role on The Noose as Andre Chichak will be sharing insights on the television and film industry, including tips for directing and producing. This course is set to start on 24 September.
Last but not least, the course on Mr Marcus Tan, co-founder of Carousell, has a target date of 18 November.
The Price
The Masters Collective will be priced at $90 before GST.
However, Singapore citizens and permanent residents who are working adults are entitled to 70 per cent off course subsidies.
They may also opt to use their SkillsFuture Credit.
