In response to complaints from the older generation about how BMT has been getting easier and easier for new recruits, ST Logistics has a new initiative. It is now even easier to buy army supplies. Just get them from the new vending machine near Pasir Ris MRT.
I’m just kidding, of course. The vending machine idea is actually pretty good.
This new vending machine sells some of the more essential supplies that recruits require, based on sales data from two of the eMart branches.
Specifically, the machine sells camo cream, insect repellent, ziplock bags (so many of them), socks, admin tees and so on.
Now, recruits no longer have any excuse for not having any of those items with them when they book in.
Unfortunately, payment is by Ez-Link card, which means whatever is for sale, is also for sale to the general public. Of course, no one in the right mind would be buying camo cream, but for useful items such as the black tape or ziplock bags, there may be a shortage of supply.
This also means NSFs cannot use their credits.
I guess you literally pay for your mistakes, when you don’t remember to stock up on the items with your free credits.
