Do you know what’s annoying?
When you meet someone – a friend or date – who’s so sweet and caring at the start of a relationship that you put all your faith and trust in them with reckless abandon without even getting to know them first.
Then, a year later, they’re stealing your face masks, gossiping about you, and smashing your laptop on the floor after an argument over bubble tea.

Pineapple Black Rot
As for what’s causing these cores to darken, it’s probably pineapple black rot, or base rot, a disease caused by a plant pathogen.
The same pathogen also causes disease in a variety of other tropical plants such as banana, coconut, and sugarcane making it a somewhat dangerous pathogen.

Pineapple black rot is reportedly the most common and well-known post-harvest disease of the pineapple fruit and is responsible for serious losses in the fresh pineapple fruit world industry.
