The mala craze is gripping Singaporeans by their hair and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
So if you, like most of the people in the office, cannot resist mala-ing at least once per week, Jewel’s a place you’d probably have to go soon.
Old Chang Kee’s Mala Chicken O’ promises a fiery adventure with Mala Sichuan chicken chunks that’ll make you go, oooh, so 麻 and so 辣.
In case you can’t tell, that’s the range’s flavour for China.
Now, if spicy food’s not your cup of tea, don’t worry.
Teriyaki Chicken O’
Japan might be more well-known for Sakura-stuff now, but Old Chang Ke isn’t going down the mainstream route.
Oh, no. They’re going for the most authentic Japanese flavour instead: Teriyaki Chicken.

The Kaya Butter Puff is going for $1.40 per piece. But if you’re particularly hungry, or you just have a friend to share with, you can get two pieces at just $2.50.
