A look at the comment section revealed numerous comments condemning the actions of the household, with some urging the authorities to take action against them.

What they didnโ€™t realise is that while we can travel back in time with the internet, we canโ€™t do so in real life.

This didnโ€™t take place in 2023.

Instead, it took place in 2015, and then on 2017 again.

Interestingly enough, there wasnโ€™t many people who realised that it was an old image, too, with many people just jumping on the bandwagon to slam the household.

There is, however, a difference if the complaint happened in 2015 instead of 2023.

From 1 August 2023, the previous Singapore Arms and Flag and National Anthem (SAFNA) Act and Rules were replaced with the National Symbols Act (โ€œthe Actโ€) and its Regulations.

If the household is charged in 2015, theyโ€™d face a maximum fine of $1,000.

Under the new rules, if theyโ€™re charged now, they might face up to $30,000 fine and / or six monthsโ€™ jail.
