The opening of Orchard Gateway heralded numerous new stores, and Supply & Demand happened to join in the bandwagon. This Italian restaurant which adopts a classic and retro setting is known for their huge pizzas as well as their truffle fries which has left many in awe.

Truffle fries – $15
(Fries tossed with truffle oil with garlic cloves. Comes with 2 side dips)
So much love for this! The fries came in chunky pieces (my favorite) and I loved how the truffle oil was thoroughly infused up to the very last french fry at the bottom. The garlic cove added a sweet garlic scent to the fries, and they went perfectly with the dipping sauces.

La Mattina Dopo / The Morning After (13 inches) – $22
(Tomato sauce, Mozzarella, Bacon and Mushroom with a Soft Egg Set in the Center)
One of their signature pizzas! Pizzas at Supply & Demand come in your choice of either 9″ or 13″, and so we obviously chose the latter as there were more people sharing it. Portion wise, I was rather pleased but taste wise I felt it was rather ordinary. However, the ingredients on each pizza slice were aplenty. Pretty much worth a try!
Carbonara Classico – $17
(Carbonara done the classic way with sauteed crispy bacon, fresh milled pepper, tempered egg yolk, splash of white wine and loads of shaved cheese)
Pastas at Demand &Supply comes in either the main ($17) or tasting position ($13). A word of advice would be to order the main portion as it’s more value for money. We made a mistake on our part by ordering the tasting portion and regretted terribly (Pic below).
Another of my favorite out of the lot! We opted for the Classico Carbonara and so it was prepared without cream. Its sauce was concocted with egg yolk and other ingredients which was the actual way of preparing Carbonara. Only good Italian restaurants do that, and I was really impressed by how good it tasted. Unlike other Carbonara pastas I’ve had, I did not get sick of this and the bacon pieces were aplenty.

Prawn Aglio Olio – $13
This was the tasting portion which was unbelievably small. I think this was less than half of the main portion? And definitely not worth the money paid. However, the Aglio Olio pasta was done well and the pasta was springly. They used fresh prawns too which was another thumbs up factor. Just don’t order the tasting portion please!!! I would rather you pay $4 more for a portion 2x of this.
Service:
Service was a little slow that day, but other than that, everything else was fine. I was just a little unhappy with their nonchalant replies when we gave them a feedback about their pastas.
Atmosphere:
Definitely one of my favorites! The restaurant was decked with industrial elements and had an open bar concept which I felt was really apt for them. The restaurant was really spacious, and even included an “outdoor” seating so you won’t have to worry about space constraints!
