Woman Involved To Get Murder Charge Reduced; Will Not Face The Gallows
Turns out, a recent ‘update’ on the fatal incident has just been revealed.
But first, you must be wondering about this. She didn’t actually do the stabbing, so why was she suddenly so infamous?
Well, we speculated that it was because she was the only girl in the group.
Also, if you look carefully, she has mad flying kick skillz. So much that even her slipper was sent flying.
All that kicking aside, in a rather expected turn of events (because three of the seven involved also had their murder charges reduced), Siow has also had her charged reduced.
According to TODAYOnline, She will no longer be facing the death penalty. Instead, she will be charged with voluntarily causing hurt.
If convicted, Siow will face a maximum sentence of two years in jail and a $5,000 fine.
Unexpected Turn Of Events For Siow
Siow burst into tears as she heard the news. Up until then, she didn’t know why she was being called back to court last Friday, 18 October.
Her lawyer told TODAYOnline, “Before the judge came out, she was wondering what she was doing in court. She had no idea what was going on.”
Her amended charges now detail that she had kicked and punched the victim together with Tan Sen Yang, 28, Joel Tan Yun Sheng, 26, and Ang Da Yuan, 26.
These three will continue to face the murder charge.
Siow was offered bail of $15,000. She left the State Court at around 6pm with her father and a family friend.
Her case will be mentioned again on 25 October.
