Do you have annoying friends who will stop you from digging in to your food just because they want to take a nice picture to upload onto their Instagram?

Or are you the annoying friend in the group that does this? If you are, here’s a valid reason to take picture of your food without getting glared at by your friends! Even those who aren’t a fan of taking pictures of your food can hop on board the trend just for this period!

Not only are you updating your Instagram account with delicious food but you can donate to charity at the same time. Time to #EatSnapGive

CapitaLand will be donating $2 to the President’s Challenge 2016 for every food related photo uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #EatSnapGive from 17 September to 21 October 2016. Albeit this article is rather late but better late than never! You can still start snapping and uploading pictures of your food!

There are six charities under President’s Challenge 2016 that will benefit from this campaign. They are the Autism Association (Singapore) – Play for Autism 101 at Eden School, Focus on the Family Singapore – Date with Dad Prison Programme, Muhammadiyah Welfare Home – Parent-Child Bonding Programme, KK Hospital Health Endowment Fund, South Central Community Family Service Centre – Family Partnership Platform and Yong-en Care Centre – Single Mother and Children Support Group Programme.

CapitaLand is aiming to give $300,000 to charity so why not do them a favour and start posting! If the post is accompanied with a location tag of any CapitaLand malls, they may donate up to $5 per post as oppose to $2 per post.

There is no limit to how number of post per account so for those with bigger hearts (and bigger love for food) you can spam pictures of food to your heart’s content.
