Billionaire Peter Lim is one of the latest in line to give a helping hand to the frontline workers fighting against Covid-19.
Except, this time, instead of going down the usual route of focusing on doctors and nurses, he’s lauding the housekeeping staff, ambulance drivers and patient care assistants instead, whom he described as “unsung heroes”.

A statement from his office said that he hopes the gesture will help to keep the frontline healthcare workers’ morale up.
“He hopes that these meals will boost the morale of these front-line healthcare workers and bring them some comfort in this difficult period.”
Not The First Time Giving Back To Society
Peter Lim is a well-known philanthropist who’s been giving back quite a bit over the years.
Back in June 2010, he donated $10 million to the Singapore Olympics Foundation (SOF) for a SOF-Peter Lim Scholarship.

The scholarship is meant for students from financially-challenged family backgrounds who have the potential to excel in sports.
In 2019, he “topped up” the fund with another $10 million to support young local athletes for another 10 years.
He also gave $20 million to another community project to help less-privileged children reach their potential.
Besides the sports community, he had given $3 million to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) to fund a professorship in peace studies at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies to promote peace and harmony in Singapore.
