At some point in your life, you’ve probably been greeted by a small, waving cat upon entering a store.
It wasn’t a real cat, of course. Everyone knows cats only raise their hands when they want us to bow down to them.
I’m talking about the “Fortune Cats”.
Also known as Maneki Neko in Japanese, these creatures are believed to bring good luck and more importantly, fortune, to the owner.
Well, if you happen to be in dire need of some good luck and fortune, and are a Pokemon lover as well, I have just the thing for you.
We Choose You, Pikachu: Pikachu Fortune Cat Now Available for Sale
Tired of sitting on Ash’s shoulder on his quest to catch ’em all, Pikachu has started cosplaying as a Fortune Cat.
Toffee Studio, a local figurine company, has opened pre-orders for its new, Pokemon-themed product: a Pikachu Fortune Cat.
The cute cats are retailing on GK Figure’s website and come in two sizes.
The regular-sized cat, which is 16cm tall, and measures 13cm by 12cm, costs $120.
Alternatively, if you have money flowing out of your posterior, you could go for the large, exclusive edition, which costs S$460.
This edition is 61cm tall and measures 50cm by 50cm. It’s called the “exclusive” edition because there are only 299 units available.
Standard shipping for customers inside Singapore is free and the products will likely be shipped in the third or fourth quarter of this year.
If you think Pikachu isn’t going to bring you much luck, however, you could go for some more beefed-up Fortune Cats.
Extremely Muscular Fortune Cats on Sale
It appears that some of our Fortune Cats have been hitting the gym lately.
Determined to bring their new owners more fortune, these felines have been doing an obscene number of bicep exercises.
But only with their right hands.
These new bulky felines also seem to have done some squats, as their thighs are rather thicc too.
If your scrawny Fortune Cat just isn’t bringing in enough dough and you’re strapped for cash, this feline beefcake might do it for you.
You can also place it alongside its skinner brothers and sisters for extra luck, though they may become insecure as a result.
This burly feline is available on Lazada for $63.20. It stands 24 cm tall, and measures 11cm by 20cm.
So, will you be choosing Pikachu, or this muscular cat to bring in some good fortune?
