In 2015 there were two kinds of people.

People who saw this dress…

…as either black and blue or gold and white.

FYI: I saw it (still do) as black and blue.

Relationships were stained, quarrels were plentiful and Buzzfeed got tons of traffic (not like they need it, anyway). The world almost ended.

Now in 2017, we are faced with another colour crisis.

A picture of an innocent-looking trainer has been making the rounds on the internet.

Take a look at it:

What colour is the trainer?

Did you say pink and white or blue and grey?

If you said some other colour, then you’re just stirring the pot.

Social media is going bonkers with two polarizing answers.

The pink and white clan

The blue and grey clan

I guess there is one more clan…the confused clan.

This kerfuffle has even Xiaxue muddled!

Personally, I see it as pink and white! #sorrynotsorry

My colleague said that it is actually white but its colour temperature has been adjusted to make it look blue.

So many theories but there is only one burning question:

what colour is it ?

In the name of investigative journalism, Huffpost UK reporter Jessica Pitocchi has put an end to this treachery.

So the trainer is actually from Vans and most importantly, it only comes in pink and white.

I guess Vans earned some free media coverage, not like it needs it.

For those who thought it was blue and grey, I guess it is time for an eye check-up.

I am not throwing shade but if the shoe fits, wear it (no pun intended).
