If you’ve ever purchased a food item from an establishment after seeing it in an advertisement, you’re probably aware of the disparity that usually exists between the two.
What looks like the juiciest and thickest burger in existence often ends up being a well-seasoned cardboard sandwiched between two emaciated buns.
There are times when these differences are minor and tolerable, but sometimes, the two products are so different you start questioning the meaning of life.
Just listen to the ordeal this Pizza Hut customer had to go through and you’ll know what I mean.
Pizza Hut Customer Complains of Pizza With “Oversized Crusts”
Young, old, cowardly or bold, everyone loves a slice of pizza. That is, unless you’re served subpar pizza.
Recently, a woman took to Facebook to complain about a meal she ordered from Pizza Hut. She detailed the incident in a post on the Facebook group Complaint Singapore.Â
The woman said she had ordered two regular-sized pizzas, which according to her, were supposed to be nine inches in diameter.
However, the ones she received were allegedly only six inches.
The woman claimed that when she sought assistance from Pizza Hut’s customer service, they insisted there was nothing wrong with the order, since they were served six slices of pizza.
“So as long as you give me 6 slices it’s considered regular size?” she asked, incredulous.
But the size of the pizza wasn’t the only issue.
The pizza also looked…Â weird.
Here’s what it was supposed to look like:
Looks decent, right? Well, here’s what this customer received:
When placed side by side, it’s evident what the customer meant when she complained of “oversized crusts”.
“This is utterly ridiculous and disappointing,” she wrote.

Pizza Hut Refunds Irate Customer
According to Stomp, Pizza Hut is aware of the incident and has since refunded the customer.
“We are sorry to hear that on this occasion our customer did not receive the same standard of pizzas that they have come to know and love from Pizza Hut”, a spokesman told Stomp.
“Upon speaking to the customer, we quickly refunded the order and have spoken to the restaurant team to ensure that customers continue to receive great tasting pizza, and that everyone enjoys their slice of simple.”
In April last year, the pizza joint issued S$30 vouchers to some customers after a technical glitch affected their server.
As a result, several customers faced long waiting times of several hours, and called for refunds online.
