Pocky sticks. Where do I even start?

As a child, I absolutely loved these crispy biscuit sticks. Crunchy, flavourful and delicious, they served as my gaming accompaniment, and almost always led me to victory.
“YES! TAKE THAT NOOBMASTER69,” I once cried in joy as my half-eaten pocky stick sat in a corner of my mouth.

In fact, I loved Pocky so much I wanted to have it for breakfast, but much to my dismay my Mum was like:
“No, that’s not a proper breakfast. A proper breakfast would be carbs with kaya, complete with Kopi-O. Not some nonsense like pocky sticks.”
You can insult my modesty. You can insult my bowl cut. But on no account are you ever to insult pocky sticks.
It’s war, woman.
Incensed, I sat it out and waited for years to get back at my ol’ mum. And finally, I’ve the perfect weapon to use against her.
She wants a proper breakfast? She got it.
Pocky Limited Edition Flavours Kaya & Kopi-O Available From 12 Jul
Always craved Pocky sticks for breakfast? Well, now you have a legitimate reason to do so. Pocky has teamed up with Ya Kun to create pocky sticks straight from a breakfast set at the local kopitiam, and may I just comment on how mouthwatering they look?

These Kaya & Kopi-O flavoured Pocky Sticks.
Available starting July, they will be exclusive to Singapore.
A sweet deal if you ask me.
When I say breakfast you say? Pocky!
For starters, the Kopi-O Pocky Sticks look really good. And I don’t even drink Kopi.
Coated in generous dark hues of brown, these sticks are essentially Pocky’s answer to Kopi addicts, and we have a feeling that they’re gonna be fan favourites.

Need something to wake you up? Throw that packet of Kopi aside and grab these boxes instead.
Pocky has never been more gao.
And then we have the Kaya-flavoured Pocky Sticks.

As any Kaya addict would attest to, the jam (made out of coconut milk, eggs and sugar) is pretty much the best thing since sliced bread.
Better than sliced bread, actually.
And so, you can only imagine our collective delight (and amazement) when these Kaya-flavoured Pocky sticks were announced.
And so…Â what’re you waiting for?
These limited-edition Pocky flavours will be available at the STREAT festival from 12-13 July and at almost all Ya Kun outlets after that.
They will retail at $2 per box. Not a bad deal, considering how expensive breakfast sets tend to be.

Though do take note, you might want to head down early in order to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, you can get yourself a set by pre-booking the Pocky sticks via Klook here.
And when you’re done with all the intricacies, there’s really one last thing to do.
Enjoy.
And now if you’ll excuse me, I have a stick to raise with my Mum.
Sticks, to be precise.
