Muhammad Shafirul Danish Bin Muhammad Shaffie, a 19-year-old full-time National Serviceman with the Singapore Police Force, pleaded guilty on 27 Nov 2025 to two counts of attempting to obtain sexual services from a minor and another count of harassment.
Shafirul approached three boys aged 15 to 16 over several months, offering them cash ranging from $50 to $290 to perform lewd acts on them.
All three boys rejected his offers.
NSF Borrowed Money From First Victim, Refused to Return Unless Boy Accepted Offer
Shafirul befriended the first victim, aged 16, on Instagram in November 2024. The boy told him his age during their early communications.
In March 2025, Shafirul met up with the teen and borrowed $45 from him.
When the boy tried to get his money back, Shafirul repeatedly asked if he could fellate him for $200. The victim rejected his offer and asked for his $45 back.
Shafirul pretended to be someone called “Izz Syah” and offered to book a Grab vehicle for the boy. He sent a photo of four $50 notes totalling $200 to show he had the means to pay.
The boy knew it was Shafirul messaging him and rejected the offer again, asking for his money back.
Shafirul said he would not return the money unless the victim accepted his offer. The boy continued to turn him down and stopped communicating with him soon after.
The teen lodged a police report on 10 Apr 2025. Shafirul was arrested on 28 Jul and released on bail on 15 Aug.
Second Victim Harassed, Threatened With Public Shaming on TikTok
In November 2024, Shafirul came across a second teen’s TikTok post and began messaging him. The boy, aged 16, repeatedly told him his age.
In March 2025, Shafirul asked to give the boy a blowjob and offered him $200 to $290. He also offered the boy $50 for a photo of his penis.
The teen rejected both offers.
Shafirul began spamming the boy with messages, scolding him and pressuring him to accept his offer.
When the boy told him to stop messaging, Shafirul threatened to expose his face on TikTok to shame him. Afraid, the teen agreed to meet up with him but delayed the meeting, causing Shafirul to threaten to expose him again.
Eventually, the teen blocked Shafirul and shared his messages in a Telegram group chat that both he and Shafirul were part of. He intended to warn others about Shafirul.
Angered, Shafirul obtained a photo of the teen’s face and posted it in the same chat, demanding that he “sini settle boi”. He told the teen to delete his posts in the Telegram group chat, and the teen complied to avoid further harassment.
But the harassment continued. Shafirul posted another video on TikTok with a picture of the boy’s face, taunting him. In the video, he stated that the boy was afraid to meet him face to face.
When the boy learnt about the post, he unblocked Shafirul to ask him to stop posting about him.
Shafirul called the teen on Telegram and repeated his offer to give him a blowjob for cash. When the boy rejected him again and asked him to take down the TikTok video, Shafirul refused and told him to look for other people that he could fellate.
He said he was specifically looking for boys who were handsome and looked like the victim.
In desperation, the boy asked his older 20-year-old sister for help. The woman told Shafirul to delete the posts, to which he replied that he would not do so until the boy found someone he could engage in lewd acts with.
She lodged a police report on 5 Jun.
Third Victim Approached While Shafirul Was Out on Bail
Despite being out on bail, Shafirul messaged another boy, aged 15, in September 2025. He had befriended the teen on TikTok in May that year, but did not ask his age.
During their text conversation, he asked to perform a blowjob on the minor, offering him $279 to do so. The boy rejected his offer and did so again when Shafirul repeated his request.
Court Calls for Reformative Training Assessment
The court has called for a report to assess Shafirul’s suitability for reformative training. He will be sentenced on 29 Dec.
Young offenders ordered to undergo reformative training are detained in a centre to undergo a strict regimen that can include foot drills and counselling.
For attempting to obtain sexual services from a minor, he could be jailed up to two years, fined, or both. For intentionally causing harassment, he could be jailed up to six months, fined up to $5,000, or both.
