Dogs are always considered a man’s best friend.

They’re really loyal to you once they get to know you and come on, who wouldn’t want a fluffy ball of sunshine around you all the time?

Sure, they can be lil shits at times with their loud barks especially when you’re just trying to get some work done or trying to get some sleep, but really, they just want to spend some time with you because they love you.

I used to have a dog but he passed away in February of this year, and I would give anything just to be with him again.

They may not be the main focus of your life because you may have school or work to do, but hey, to them, you’re their entire world. So treasure your pet doggos, everyone!!

As humans, we would naturally grieve especially when the dogs we own leave this world.

But do dogs grieve?

Do they know what’s actually going on when we leave?

Well, we’re about to find out.

A video of a black dog garnered 2.6 million views after it was posted onto Facebook last Saturday. The video showed the black dog at its owner’s funeral and despite not being able to speak the human tongue, it seemed to understand what was happening.

Warning: you might cry.

When you watch the video, you can see that it is lying next to its owner’s coffin and it dons a similar yellow scarf around its neck like the other mourners present. As seen from the video, its body was shaking possibly from sadness and its mouth was open like it was trying to cry.

One of the family members spotted the dog crying so she called for another one of her relatives to try to console the dog. Of course, even with pats and a hug from a few other mourners as well, the dog remains inconsolable as it tries to come to terms with the fact that its owner is gone.

Dogs aren’t able to speak, but they definitely have feelings too. They, too, feel sadness and will grieve over the loss of their loved ones.

This incident most likely happened in Vietnam and the funeral was for the grandmother.

It is sad to see a dog cry so hard over the loss of its owner, and it just goes to show how innocent a dog’s love for its owner is. It also shows how loyal dogs are and why they are termed as a man’s best friend.

How do some people even have the heart to abuse dogs when they are so lovable?

We hope that the dog feels better soon with the consolation of other family members and we send our condolences to the bereaved’s family.
