Think of the most iconic stabbing incident in a movie and immediately Psycho comes to mind.

Film buffs and normies alike would know what I’m talking about.

Yes, the black and white, psychological horror movie, Psycho.

Spooky season is now long gone but I would recommend watching it still. It’s a classic that tells you what not to do in the event that you are about to get stabbed.

It’s an instruction manual complete with videos.

Now though it seems a little far fetched from reality, you never really know what you’re up against sometimes.

Just last Friday, on 9 November, a 37-week pregnant woman drove herself to the hospital after being attacked by her husband in their home in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The expectant mother was reported to have been slashed in multiple places of her body, including her stomach.

Attacked by Husband Who Was Armed With a Knife

According to a report done by The Star, the expectant mother, a 35-year-old woman, was rushed into the Emergency Department of the hospital. The victim had suffered injuries to her finger, her right arm, her back, and her stomach. She had been 37 weeks pregnant at the time of the attack.

Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Rosli Hasan said that the police were alerted to the incident at 9.50 am on Friday, 9 November.

A team was sent down to the couple’s home in Present 9, Fasa 4, where the suspect, a 39-year-old audio engineer, was arrested for the attack. The police also confiscated the weapon that was used.

Now here’s the thing – why would anybody do that?

Victim and Baby in Stable Condition

Thankfully, the woman, who was referred to the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, later delivered a healthy baby boy. According to ACP Rosly, both mother and son are in stable condition.

The cause of the attack is still unknown and investigations are ongoing. The police have taken custody of the suspect and he will be remanded until 15 November.

With everything aside, we’re just glad that the baby and the mother are both safe.

It’s a literal scene from a horror movie and I could never imagine my bloodied self driving myself to the hospital.

That takes a lot of courage and a whole lot of composure. She is one hell of a strong, independent woman, and we wish her the best of recoveries and the well-wishes as she ventures into motherhood.
