Mediacorp host Quan Yifeng and celebrity hairstylist Addy Lee are locked in a public disagreement, with both parties sharing conflicting versions of events surrounding their former livestream business partnership.
Livestream Business Dispute Reveals Financial Discrepancies
Quan spoke to Zaobao in an interview published on 15 May 2025, addressing Lee’s claims from his viral Facebook videos.
While Lee stated Quan made about S$300,000 monthly from their livestreams selling hair products during the 2020 pandemic, Quan clarified she earned S$400,000 over three months.
Lee claimed he urgently needed to conduct livestream sales due to cash flow issues at his hair salons and to cover his sick parents’ medical bills.
Quan contradicted this narrative, telling Zaobao that Lee never mentioned financial pressure to her. She noted he owned a S$3 million house, drove a luxury car, and employed several assistants at the time.
The Mediacorp host also described feeling “exhausted to the point of death” balancing her regular hosting job with the livestreams.
“During the pandemic, I was very busy as a host, working more than 10 hours a day. When I returned home, I still did live broadcasts with him,” she said.
Despite the income, Quan grew uncomfortable with the arrangement. She worried about maintaining her credibility while working for Mediacorp and possibly taking advantage of her fans’ loyalty.
“I know I’d get extremely rich if I continued doing it, but I didn’t want to exploit others,” Quan explained.

Quan detailed their final livestream to Zaobao, saying she had hidden in a room until Lee’s assistant repeatedly asked her to appear on camera.
When she finally joined, her foul mood created an awkward atmosphere that forced Lee to end the session early.
Quan claimed she wrote Lee a long farewell letter when she and her daughter moved out of his house, contradicting Lee’s account of receiving only a brief text message.
She told Zaobao this would be her final public comment on their relationship, saying she had stayed silent for years because she was unsure how far Lee would go with his accusations.
When previously asked about their fallout in 2020, Quan had avoided sharing details, calling Lee hardworking and acknowledging she had entered the partnership willingly.
Response
In response to Quan’s interview, Lee posted on Facebook on 15 May 2025, questioning her version of events and sharing screenshots of WeChat messages he allegedly sent her.
Lee addressed Quan as “Sis” in these messages and expressed feeling publicly humiliated: “In my 50 years, I’ve never been so publicly humiliated. I’ve always treated you like family.”
He also questioned her actions: “Why did you leave, only to go live yourself later? Why?”
The messages show Lee describing his distress over their deteriorating friendship and feeling hurt when Quan shut him out during their final livestream.
“Have you ever thought about how I felt? I’m still someone who values relationships,” Lee wrote.
Lee promised to address questions from followers during a scheduled livestream on 15 May 2025, between 8:30pm and 9:00pm.
