LTA Implements Week-Long Road Closures and Extended MRT Services for Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix 2025

From 1 Oct 2025 to 7 Oct 2025, key roads in the Marina Bay and Padang areas will be closed for the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2025.

Adjacent roads, including Nicoll Highway, Stamford Road, Collyer Quay, service lanes, and underpasses, are also affected. Access to certain areas will be restricted to business, hotel, and residential permit holders only.

Official diversion maps have been released by the Land Transport Authority.

Disruptions to Bus Services

Several bus services traversing the event zone will have altered or shortened routes during the race week.

Notices indicate suspended stops and changes to Suntec City, Marina Square, and Esplanade routes. Both SBS Transit and SMRT are providing real-time updates via website and signage.

From 30 Sep 2025 to 6 Oct 2025, several public bus services will be affected by the road closures and traffic adjustments. LTA stated that selected bus stops will also be skipped.

Extended Train and Bus Operations

Public transport services, including major MRT and LRT lines, will operate up to an hour longer on the F1 race days from 3 Oct 2025 to 5 Oct 2025.

The departure time for the last trains on the North-South Line (NSL) and East-West Line (EWL) will be as follows:

Bus routes linking the Marina Bay district will also see extended departures post-midnight. Travel advice emphasises Raffles Place, City Hall, Promenade, Esplanade, and Bayfront MRT stations for circuit entry.

Additional passenger service staff will be present at these locations.

Car Park Limitations and Visitor Guidance

Car parks at Suntec City, Millenia Walk, and Marina Square will remain open to the public.

Temporary drop-off sites have been identified for visitors and hotel guests. Event authorities advise working with public transport plans and acknowledge heavier crowd flow around malls and drop-off points.

Security posts and lost-and-found helpdesks will operate throughout the seven-day period.
