Robert Downey Jr Says He’ll Use Tech To Save The World From Environmental Problems

The words that describe Iron Man of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) portrayed by none other than Robert Downey Jr.

Tony Stark, as known as Iron Man as he saves the world in a self-made futuristic robotic exoskeleton suit, is a sassy and sarcastic genius billionaire.

Everyone came to know and love him thanks to the phenomenal performance of Robert Downey Jr (RDJ), kick-starting the MCU into a revolution of the film industry, who then became affectionately known as the “Godfather of MCU”.

Many have also stated and noticed how RDJ and Tony Stark has blended into the same person due to the similar confident and charismatic, sassy and sarcastic behaviour of RDJ as shown in talk shows, interviews, and more.

However, this next piece of news just takes it to a whole new level.

Robots And Nanotechnology To Save The World

On 4 June 2019, at the Amazon’s Machine Learning, Automation, Robotics and Space (re:MARS) tech conference, RDJ boasted about the importance, effectiveness, and values of Artificial Intelligence (AI), even including his acting career in the MCU.

At the end of his speech, he broke the news.

He’s back in the MCU. Tony Stark isn’t really dead.

Nope. It’s even better, actually.

A new organisation, known as the Footprint Coalition, is to be launched in April 2020, aiming to utilise various advanced technologies to save the world’s environment.

The Godfather himself was also quoted saying that they could “clean up the planet significantly, if not totally, in 10 years” with the use of robotics and nanotechnology.

While he did not share any specifics, not that most of us would have understood anything anyway, we’re all truly happy enough just knowing that he’s saving our real world this time.

I Am Iron Man

The role of Iron Man has bled into Robert Downey Jr in more ways than one.

Due to being inspired by the transformation of his character in the movies, RDJ has started working to “reverse Earth’s carbon footprint” and save the environment.

Just as how Tony Stark shut down the weapons manufacturing division of Stark Industries and dedicated his wealth and resources to save his world, RDJ is dedicating his to save ours.

Needless to say, netizens all over the world are saluting and applauding RDJ’s actions.

Whether or not he succeeds and saves our world or Earth’s polluters carry out Thanos’ goal and destroys our world, I think I can safely speak for all of us when we say that we’re thankful that RDJ is doing this at all.
