Rocher Police Centre FB Did SGAG-Quality Memes to Educate the Public

The world is now…different.

Youngsters are posting silly acts on Instagram, hawkers are now selling high-SES dishes, Starbucks ex-CEO is considering a run for presidency, bubble teas are now alcoholic and Goody Feed is forcing people to download its useless app.

Also, the police has been creative in educating the public.

Take, for example, the videos we’ve done in collaboration with SPF:

You’d not have seen contents like this on Crimewatch. At least, not in the past.

And Rochor Neighbourhood Police Centre, whom we suspect has a social media team that’s made up of young NSFs, has upped the game with memes that have got shares more than any trashy Goody Feed contents.

It all Started from May 2018

If Rocher NPC sounds familiar, it’s because one of their images went viral last year before.

By now, this shouldn’t be a spoiler anymore: many superheroes in Avengers turned into ashes after Avengers: Infinity War.

So, some genius from the NPC decided that it’s not a crime to give spoilers and did this meme.

People then didn’t feel so good, but hey: message spread; mission accomplished.

And come 2019, the team’s feeling so good, they’ve come out with two more memes that are so lit, we’re thinking of asking their social media team to join us instead.

Birdbox Challenge

Lest you’ve been living in a box, you might have heard of the Birdbox challenge.

Named after the Netflix movie, it has idiots people doing things while blindfolded, and of course posting the footage online.

Needless to say, it’s a rather dangerous challenge, giving that some people even drove while blindfolded.

This phenomenon went so bad that YouTube has to ban all “dangerous pranks and challenges” so people won’t mindlessly do stupid things just to get more Likes.

And of course someone from Rochor NPC has watched the movie, known about the challenge and decided to do this simple, yet powerful, meme:

The message?

“Don’t transfer blindly.”

And just as you thought that we’ve enough of all the puns, here comes a new one.

Choking Sasuke

Anyone who’s young would know about this: known as the Choking Sasuke meme, it uses a scene from the 85th episode of the Naruto anime series, which was aired in Japan in 2004, and combine it with other images for…fun.

(Honestly I’ve no idea what “fun” means to youngsters)

The meme started from 13 January 2019 when Twitter user @kirikocult posted this composite image:

Like what a wise old man says, “Put a cat in any meme and it’ll become a viral sensation.”

Since then, people have been creatively doing various memes for…fun.

Including, of course, the king of memes SGAG.

Rocher NPC decided to jump on the bandwagon, but what can they do with this trend?

Simple (but pretty sure they took days to brainstorm this idea). They just did this:

The message?

“Violence is the problem, not the solution.”

And it got a whopping 2.2K Shares within five days.

Though, if you put the two images together, you’ll realize it could have been the same guy.

Same hairstyle; same chin~

Poor guy. He’s been meme-ified—pretty sure he’s got a lot of explaining to do during this CNY.

And oh, by the way, when Ant-Man and the Wasp was in cinema, they also posted this:

Like what a comment says, “Win liao.”
