Russian Nurse Didn’t Wear Much Beyond Translucent PPE ‘Coz It’s Too Hot; Suspended From Duties Because of Her Outfit

Doctors and nurses all over the world have been praised for their bravery during the Covid-19 pandemic.

With some hospitals bursting at the seams with patients, many healthcare workers have had to work long shifts every day for several months.

And when you’re working in such a hectic environment for many hours, comfort is paramount, even if it means going to work in your underwear.

Russian Nurse Didn’t Wear Much Beyond Translucent PPE ‘Coz It’s Too Hot & Was Suspended From Duties

A nurse in Russia has been suspended after she turned up to work wearing only her bra and panties underneath her transparent personal protective equipment, reported NY Post.

The nurse was working at Tula Regional Clinical Hospital, which is around 180km south of Moscow. She explained to her managers that she was “too hot” to wear clothing underneath her protective equipment.

Even though the vinyl gown was see-through, the nurse, who’s in her 20s, claimed she didn’t realize that her underwear could be seen through the PPE.

“No Complaints”

According to Tula Pressa, there were reportedly “no complaints” from her patients, which is not surprising considering how some of them looked at her.

Despite this, the nurse was punished for “non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing.”

The requirement being clothed, of course.

The regional health ministry confirmed that a “disciplinary sanction was applied to the nurse of the infectious diseases department who violated [uniform] requirements.”

The hospital administration initially said that the woman had been wearing “lingerie”, but later claimed that it could be a “swimming suit.”

Meanwhile, Russia is struggling to deal with a recent surge in new Covid-19 infections and deaths.

The country now has a total of 317,554 cases, which is the highest number outside of the US.

Things have been especially bad in May, with at least 7,000 new cases every day.

This near-nude nurse has brought some much-needed light-heartedness to a dire situation, but the country needs to do something quickly before the situation gets out of control.
