Finally! A break from COVID-19.
Except we’re bringing you… Molestation crime case. Again.
Sigh.
Buckle up, ’cause this is gonna be heavy as usual.
Molestation Happened Twice To Two Different Girls; First One On 22 Jan 2018
Mohamed Ardlee Iriandee Mohamed Sanip, 40, a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular based at Safti Military Institute, had been waiting around an area in Tampines where there are primary schools.
An eight year-old-girl was walking back from school with her classmate at around 3 pm on 22 Jan 2018. They saw Ardlee, who they were complete strangers with, at a block of flats where the classmate’s grandparents lived.
Don’t ask me why a SAF regular can chill outside camp on a weekday, I also want to know.
After the victim’s friend went home, she was returning to her own home when Ardlee grabbed her hand near a lift lobby and then to a staircase.
He said “hi” before molesting her.
Ardlee released her only after the child told him several times to stop.
She later went to her friend’s grandparents’ flat and told her classmate and her aunt about the ordeal.
When Ardlee was in court, he claimed he had made “accidental contact” with the girl’s private parts.
Har? This kind of defence you think can work? (It didn’t, of course.)
Second Case Around 4 pm on 21 May 2018 in Choa Chu Kang
Same shit story. A 10-year-old girl was on her way home from school and spotted Ardlee at a ground-floor lift lobby. She went to the lift to go to the second storey but then saw him standing outside when the doors opened.
Ardlee shoved her towards the staircase landing, but in this case, the older child tried to break free and screamed. Ardlee covered her mouth, but after continued resistance, he released the child and ran away.
The victim later went home and told her aunt. CCTV image showed him in an army attire and he was arrested the day after.
Not cool.
He Had Researched Online
Ardlee admitted he developed a fondness for young girls six months before the offence after reading about paedophilia online and news articles about sexual offences.
Huh, maybe we should make sexual crime articles be as boring and have as little information as possible.
His search history from September 2017 revealed that he had researched primary school hours, gate timings, how to muffle noise, how to cover someone’s mouth with a scarf, news articles on the outrage of modesty, photographs and videos of young nude models, voyeur videos from changing rooms, showers, and upskirt videos.
For both cases, he was released on bail for S$30,000 each.
He will be sentenced on 23 March 2020 and 20 April 2020 respectively.
He is also currently undergoing psychiatric treatment at the Institue of Mental Health and is awaiting a report.
Offenders can be jailed for three to 10 years and caned for each count of molesting a child below 14 years old.
Over in TikTok, there’s a drama involving property agents that’s caused by us. Here’s what happened:
