Patience is a virtue. Which, in turn, begets the question.
What, then, is impatience?
Is it a sin?

Is it sheer blasphemy?
Or is it, as the follow article headline implies…
Just a salesperson thing?
Editor: We apologise to all the competent salesmen out there. We have since fired this writer for his insensitive remarks.
Ow, go easy on the fire Boss!

Salesperson Insulted & Scolded Potential Client After Client Took Too Long to Think About the Deal
According to AsiaOne, a salesperson had gone on the offensive, after a client reportedly took too ‘long’ to think about the deal.
And no, I’m not talking about some American sitcom where they break out in laughs after that.

On Saturday (19 September), the potential client in question posted a series of screenshots, which depicted the ‘tyranny’ of a representative from a local web development company.
Suffice to say; it did not end well.
According to the screenshots, the representative had been trying to sell him a $9,000 website.
When the client stated that he needed to discuss with his partner on the company’s offer, however, the other party did not take it well…
At all.

Appearing to launch into a calculated ‘tirade’, the salesperson declared that the offer was officially off the table, and that the client was a “waste of his (my) time on Wednesday man for 2.5 hours [sic].”
He continued: “You are not a decision-maker in the first place. You are just an employee. Be honest and don’t lead people on.”
Other digs at the client included “loser” and a judgement that he brought “no benefits” to other people. The competency of the client’s business was dragged under as well.
In the process, the representative also seemed to launch a brief attack on Indian consumers, by writing, “You are no different from the Indian customers.”
Here, you can view the screenshots down below:

Fake Review
Apparently, the web development company boasts several positive reviews…
Which are alleged to be fake by the potential client.
To prove his point, he shared a five-star Google review which was supposedly drafted up by the representative in question.
And a search of the representative’s Google profile also revealed a five-star review for an affiliated company, where he reportedly works as a general manager.
Well, that’s one way to get your ratings up, I guess.
But it seems that Netizens, rather understandably, aren’t as excited about the representative’s way of doing things.

Some, in particular, expressed heavy disapproval towards the representative’s comments.
And unsurprisingly, the company has been hit with a horde of one-star reviews on Bark.com after the whole issue blew up.
For the record, Bark.com is an online marketplace for web-based services.
It should be noted that one Netizen also alleged that the web company had scammed them of their money in an incident two years ago.
The accusation, however, is not yet verified.

According to AsiaOne, the web development company has also yet to respond to the news site’s queries.
Scam Tactics
Though situated in different fields, one can’t help but see distinct similarities between this incident and that of the Opatra beauty salon incident, which occurred weeks ago.
Lest you’re unaware, a 63-year-old woman had been coerced into making payments of $13,180 on products and equipment.
Apparently, the shop staff had even followed her to the bank when she maxed out her daily spending limit.
You can read that article here.
Though of course, it should be noted that the representative had not exactly ‘pressured’ the potential client in a forthright style.
It was, instead, a reverse form of psychological pressure.
Which doesn’t make it any better, actually.

And so, please educate your loved ones about such methods and tactics. Though Singapore’s undeniably safe…
It can’t be denied that the scam industry is very much prevalent, even in such time of crises.
