This is what happens when even the phone manufacturer is afraid of their own phones.
After Samsung halted the production of their Samsung Note 7, they are now upping one notch and sending their latest creations – fireproof boxes and protective gloves to customers who are returning their potentially explosive Galaxy Note 7 phones.
The invention is essentially a box within another box within another box with a plastic bag – similar to how you would prank your friends in the past – make them think you got them a huge ass birthday present, wait for them to unravel many layers of packaging only to find an eraser in it.

Yeah, same logic, just that this packaging is slightly more technologically advanced than your usual gift wraps.
The thermally insulated outer box that has ceramic fiber paper lining has two smaller boxes within it and a static shielding bag. It also comes with a “forbidden for transport by aircraft” warning and blue gloves to handle the device.
In a report from Channel News Asia, Sprint Corp spokeswoman Laura Lisec has also commented that retail employees of Samsung are now advised to take the necessary precautions when handling Samsung Note 7 returns.
Retail employees had been told to remove phones from packaging, power them down and secure them in the heat-proof boxes. Sprint phones nationwide are being consolidated at a warehouse in Illinois before being forwarded to Samsung.
The Samsung Note 7 phones are also kept separately from the other merchandisers in stores. However, rather than switching to other brands, many customers are still choosing other Samsung Android operating system phones.
Seems like the idiom “once bitten twice shy” doesn’t exactly apply here for fans of Samsung!
