Most times, when you see an accident, chances are, you’d run forward…
…Â to see the plate number for some investments.

However, when an SBS Bus Captain saw a motorcyclist skid and at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 and 5, he immediately stopped his bus and ran out onto the road to offer his assistance.

You probably already knew from the headline but at that time, it was raining. Hard.
SBS Bus Captain Spotted Stopping Bus & Running Out To Help Fallen Motorcyclist In Pouring Rain
Facebook user Joshua Ng was the one to upload images of the incident onto the social media platform.
Lauding the bus captain’s efforts, Ng pointed out how the bus captain was willing to offer a helping hand despite having the need to keep to a schedule.
Pulling the man to his feet wasn’t all he did, though.
After ensuring that the man was fine, the bus captain also took the liberty of standing the fallen motorcycle and wheeling it to the side of the road.
SBS Transit Aware Of The Incident
In the comments section of the original post, netizens could be heard asking SBS Transit to “reward” their bus captain for his action.
Well, turns out, SBS Transit is aware of the incident and they’re equally proud of this bus captain.

Identifying the bus captain as Sam Wei Yang, SBS Transit said that the kindness shown has “warmed their hearts”.
We just hope that the bus captain didn’t get a cold from his heartwarming actions.
The Second Time A ‘Kind SBS’ Incident Happened At AMK
Previously, a passenger also took to social media to highlight how an SBS Bus Captain kindly offered a spare mask to him when he realised he forgot to bring his out.
The incident had allegedly happened at Ang Mo Kio Ave 3.

The man, then, was in a rush to retrieve a personal item that he had dropped at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10.
Upon hearing about his ‘plight’, the bus captain gamely passed him a spare mask so he doesn’t have to rush home to get a mask.
Bus Captains Deserve Respect Too
I’ll say this is a good change of pace compared to the news circulating on social media about bus captains a few weeks ago.
Bus captains were spat at, verbally abused, and humiliated for not speaking English, all because they were simply doing their jobs and asking people to wear their masks properly.

It got so bad that newly-minted Transport Minister Ong Ye Kung had to come out and ask people to treat these unsung heroes with the respect that they deserve.
