There are some Facebook Pages that really shouldn’t exist at all.
Take, for example, the Goody Feed Facebook Page. It’s filled with clickbaity contents, low-quality cringe-worthy videos and recently, they even forced people to download their useless app to read their full article. Who in the right mind would download an app just to read rubbish?
Another case in point: The Goody Feed TV – Singapore Facebook Page. Similar to the trashy Goody Feed Facebook Page, its feed is a pile of shit and according to some of my friends, people vomited after seeing that MS paint logo.
But then again, in Facebook, there are some Pages that should have existed way before social media was invented.
For example, the Singapore Civil Defence Force Page. While we all know it’s the official page for SCDF, we remember it for its puns, memes and sometimes, videos.
And they’ve done it again.
SCDF Jumping on GO-JEK “Kidnap” Incident
If you’ve not heard of the question “Is it because I’m Chinese?”, you probably haven’t been online for the last two days.
Long story cut short: a GO-GEK Abang was accused by a Chinese lady that he held her hostage, which is of course untrue: the car was locked automatically.
It led to memes like these from memexperts:
But SCDF took it to a whole new level by taking an image and meme-ifty themselves:
If you can’t read the words, here you go:
It doesn’t matter who you are, we will convey you to the hospital but only in an emergency.
For non-emergencies, please call 1777 or seek alternative transportation (such as taxis, Grab or Gojek) for appropriate medical treatment.
*Psst, our ambulance doors auto-lock for your own safety. So do not be unnecessarily alarmed. Please!

SCDF Just Did a Hokkien Video with a Member of Parliament on Fire Safety
In case you think SCDF is all about memes, you’re wrong.
Just three days ago, MP Sun Xueling posted a video about fire safety in full Hokkien, and the video includes motion graphics (think of it as “animation”).
It’s revealed in a report that the MP approached SCDF to educate the public about fire safety while cooking, and SCDF sent a firefighter and an admin staff over to do the video. All it took was two hours of filming and two days of editing, and they were all done by the firefighter – without the use of expensive equipment.
The video was so well-received, it got almost 400 Shares and was widely praised by netizens.
Here, take a look:
SCDF, you all is Singapore Civil Defence Force or Super Civil Defence Force ah?
Singapore Air Force Jumped on the Bandwagon as Well
Wait—RSAF? Are they going to do it on a Land Rover?
Apparently not, because they’ve done it on a fighter plane instead.
Lest you can’t read the captions:
When the front and back seats work in harmony to safe guard our skies, even in the festive season.
And yes, the canopy auto-locks for safety!

Now, I’ve got to admit that it’s rather meaningless (the SCDF one conveys a message of non-emergency calls), but hey: at least they’re trying.
And don’t you think it’s encouraging to see that the authorities are making efforts to reach out to the younger generation? #welldone
