After months of working from home and getting used to the life of a sloth, only three things will get Singaporeans out of their beds:

  1. Food
  2. A newly-opened restaurant
  3. A sale

So when Cheap Eats Seafood Buffet announced it’s opening a seafood buffet restaurant in less than a month, people were excited, to say the least.

The only problem is that they haven’t announced a physical address yet.

Seafood Buffet Promises to ‘Open’ in S’pore in Sept

In a Facebook post on 24 Aug, Cheap Eats Seafood Buffet announced it’ll be having a “grand opening” on 25 September 2020.

While the post didn’t include an actual address, the restaurant said it’d be near Henderson Waves.

Let’s hope it’s not just some dude selling you a prawn on a stick on the pedestrian bridge.

The exclusion of a physical address didn’t raise any eyebrows though, as netizens were too busy going through their extensive list of menu items and trying to control their excessive mouthwatering.

Their menu includes everything from Sharks’s Fin Soup and Lobster Salad to Sashimi and Sushi.

Venue Looks Just Like a Design for Vietnam Restaurant

Though it hasn’t yet announced a physical address, the restaurant shared mock-ups of what the venue might look like:

However, we couldn’t help but notice some similarities between these mock-ups and the design samples for Vietnam restaurant.

And by similarities we mean they both have the exact same pictures.

According to the design company’s website, the pictures were 3D drawing samples for a proposed seafood restaurant in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The company, KenDesign, said the design was based on the investor’s vision of a unique and novel seafood eating house.

The design for the three-storey restaurant apparently has elements of traditional Japanese architecture, with a rooftop dining area to boot.

Maybe Cheap Eats Seafood Buffet and this Vietnam restaurant just hired the same design company and there’s nothing shady going on here?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

By the way, self-service buffets are still banned in Phase 2, so we’re not sure how this is going to work.

Needless to say, there are quite a few question marks about this eatery.
