A wise man once said this, โA smile is a currency. Remember that.โ
Iโve never believed in his words until I saw this:

Oh, sorry, not that. This.
I know this image doesnโt provide much context, so hereโs what to expect.
Burger King New Self-Ordering Kiosk
I donโt know who came out with this idea, but it sure is unique.
The Burger King Smile Kiosk, uncreatively called the SMILE-FIE Kisok, is just your typical ordering kiosk with an additional feature: it can detect your smile.
Each time you place an order at the self-ordering SMILE-FIE Kiosk, you get to earn various discounts or freebies from Burger Kingโs menu by selecting the smile-recognition function.
Upon flashing a smile and hitting beyond 80 points or more, youโll be able to redeem freebies and adding them directly into your ordering cart.
Smile like this and the machine might just give you so many points, you own the restaurant the next minute:
Okay, I kid you. So what can you expect?

For example, diners may receive a Chocolate or a Strawberry Sundae surprise for only S$1.00 instead of the usual price of S$1.90.
And the best-est part? Depending on luck (or smile or looks or whatever), you might even walk away with a free pie at the SMILE-FIE Kiosk.
So if youโve a resting bitch face, you might want to get your friends to order for you.
Where You Can โSell Your Smileโ (ๅ็ฌ)
The SMILE-FIE Kisok will be launched tomorrow (13 July 2019) in Jewel Burger King for a day.
Following that, it will be launched in nine other outlets, namely

- Capitol Piazza

- IMM
- Marsiling Mall
- Pasir Ris Sports Centre
- Paya Lebar Square
- VivoCity
And by the way, during the launch of the SMILE-FIE Kisok tomorrow, the Laksa and Rendang burgers, which are slated to be out from 16 July 2019 in all outlets, would be available in the Jewel outlet.
Would that be the killer to A&W?
Or maybe, people with resting bitch face can head down to A&W while those with Colgate smile can crowd at Burger King?
These five GRCs could see the tightest battle in GE2025; hereโs why:
