Man in Serangoon Shot Metal Bolts & Nuts Into Moving & Stationary Vehicles with Homemade Sling
We all have our hobbies, sure, but this one is hard to wrap your head around.
According to TODAY, a 57-year-old man has allegedly been shooting metal bolts and nuts into moving and stationary vehicles at an open car park.
The series of “attacks” occurred in Serangoon Central between January and May this year.
The police commenced investigations after receiving several reports of the incidents and officers from the Ang Mo Kio Police Division eventually established the identity of the man.
He was arrested yesterday (27 May), with preliminary investigations revealing that the man had allegedly shot the nuts and bolts using a homemade sling.
He is expected to be charged today (28 May) with committing a rash act.
If convicted, the man can be imprisoned for up to 6 months, fined up to S$2,500, or both.

Man Charged for Possessing a Stun Device that Looked like an iPhone
Just a week ago, another man was found with a rather dangerous weapon: an iPhone.

Now, I’m not talking about exploding iPhones or slowed-down Apple phones that make you tear your hair out.
I’m talking about a stun gun that resembled an iPhone.
On 21 May, Alexander Aw Boon Hao was charged with illegally possessing a stun device, which happened to look exactly like an iPhone.

The 30-year-old is also facing a charge of voluntarily causing hurt for assaulting his girlfriend.
His weapon was found by the authorities after the police were alerted to an assault case at an HDB flat along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 on 26 Nov last year.
Aw had allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s hair and “caused her bodily pain” that day, while they were both travelling in a taxi at night on the way to the flat.
Officers found the innocent-looking stun device while going through Aw’s belongings. They then seized the device and placed Aw under arrest.
