Every three seconds, a Singaporean purchases a bubble tea, a person is arrested for flouting COVID-19 regulations, and a new TikTok challenge goes viral.
This time, it’s the “Go Daddy Go” challenge, where users have to dance in time to DJ Shawny’s song of the same name.
The electronic track was released back in 2016, when large parties were still legal, but has only recently gone viral thanks to TikTok users.

However, it seems that it isn’t just the youth who have jumped on the “Go Daddy Go” bandwagon, as a couple of elderly folks showed they can move just as well as their younger counterparts.

Established in 2002, the centre helps care for elderly residents in Tanjong Rhu and in other parts of the East.
In the video, two cheery seniors can be seen dancing to DJ Shawny’s tune; an auntie begins the proceedings with some slick arm movements, before handing it to an uncle who cheekily smiles at the camera as he gracefully marches past the camera.

Other TikTok Videos With Seniors
That wasn’t the only video posted by St Hilda’s Community Services that featured seniors dancing to some catchy tunes.
In another video, a large group of elderly residents tapped their toes for the “Whistle Dance” challenge, where users dance in time to “Whistle Dance” by Nguyen Quoc.
Both the auntie and uncle in the “Go Daddy Go” video make a re-appearance in this one.
A New Trend
Seniors dancing on TikTok seems to have become rather popular in recent months, as even Progress Singapore Party (PSP) chief Tan Cheng Bock took up a dance challenge back in December.
At the time, the party released three Christmas-themed videos which garnered a total of 1,683 views; Dr Tan’s video alone was watched over 12,000 times in just two days.

Just like the other seniors above, Dr Tan falters here and there, but does a mighty good job overall.
These elderly folks show that age is just a number, and that’s you’re never too old to have some fun.
