You want to know what’s fun? Travelling.
You want to know what’s not fun though? Not having the money to travel.
Cue me crying about an empty wallet.
But another gripe some might have are transition flights, especially to out-of-Asia regions for us like the US and Europe.
But if you’re ever planning a trip to somewhere like Brussel’s, you might wanna hold off on your plans for a bit.
And look at what Singapore Airlines (SIA) has to offer.
Non-Stop Flight Is Non-Stop Nice
You can literally smell the good news from here.
According to The Straits Times, travellers can fly direct from Singapore to the Belgian capital of Brussels on SIA with its new flight route to the city.
However, you’ve all got to wait a little bit on this one.
SIA announced on 16 December that these direct, 14-hour flights will only begin operations from 25 October next year.
But having early travel plans never hurt though.
There will be four non-stop flights to and from Brussels every week and the flights will be operated on the Airbus 350-900.
Once again, time to schedule a trip early for all you eager ones.
Connecting Singapore to Europe
First times all around.
But for what exactly?
This new flight route will connect Changi Airport to 20 cities in Europe for the first time.
Time to make plans with some friends.
Changi Airport Group’s managing director of Air Hub Development, Mr Lim Ching Kiat, feels that this link is important as passenger traffic between Singapore and Europe has increased.
But writer, by how much can it possibly increase by?
Well…7 per cent to total 5.4 million in the past year.
That is a HUGE number.
Speaking of numbers, remember when we told you airbusses 350 to 900 were the ones that would bring you over?
There is one exception to this rule.
SIA mentioned that flight SQ304 will depart Singapore for Brussels on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11.55 pm.
Return flights will be operated as flight SQ303, and leave Brussels for Singapore on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 11.20 am.
Subject to approval only though.
Well, this seems like good news all around for those who can travel. I already know a few people probably gearing up for a potential trip too.
I’m just mad salty that I can’t I can join you all.
