A 34-year-old Singaporean primary school teacher appeared in court on Wednesday (9 Jul 2025), facing four charges related to sexual offences against her underage male student.
The woman faces charges of causing sexual penetration of a minor, performing an indecent act with a child, sexual grooming and stalking.
Court records show the accused was the victim’s primary school teacher.
Teacher Allegedly Met Student at Car Parks for Sexual Acts
Court documents revealed that the woman allegedly hugged the boy, kissed him, sat on his lap and ground her body against him in a car at a multi-storey car park between 20 Feb 2019 and 8 Oct 2019.
The boy was between 13 and 14 years old during these incidents.
The woman allegedly performed oral sex on the boy at a multi-storey car park between November 2019 and December 2019 when he was 14 years old. She met the boy on at least two occasions in 2019 at a multi-storey car park, intending to perform indecent acts with him.
The number of actual victims cannot be confirmed as the names of the parties involved have been redacted from court documents.
Stalking Charges Added Years Later
There was a gap of several years until the woman’s next alleged offence. Between October 2023 and March 2024, she allegedly stalked the boy by sending at least 18 unwanted emails to him despite being told to stop communicating with him.
The stalking charge accuses her of causing harassment, alarm and distress to the boy through these unwanted communications.
The court imposed an order preventing the 34-year-old woman and the boy from being identified to protect the victim’s identity. Court documents did not reveal whether the woman was still the boy’s teacher at the time of the alleged offences.
The woman did not indicate how she would plead on Wednesday. Her case has been adjourned to August 2025.
The Ministry of Education confirmed the accused was suspended from March 2024 and is no longer teaching in any school. MOE stated it takes a serious view of staff misconduct and will follow up with disciplinary proceedings after the court case concludes.
For performing a sexual act on an underage boy, an offender can be jailed for up to 10 years and fined. For performing an indecent act on a minor, an offender can be jailed for up to five years and fined up to S$10,000.
Repeat offenders can be jailed for up to seven years and fined up to S$20,000.
