56-Year-Old Singaporean Man Arrested for Allegedly Molesting Teenage Stepdaughter in Malaysia

A 56-year-old unemployed Singaporean man has been remanded for five days by the Magistrate’s Court in Jasin, Melaka. Magistrate Mazana Sinin issued the remand order on 2 Sep 2025, requiring the suspect to remain in custody until 6 Sep 2025.

The man faces investigation under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. He stands accused of molesting his 15-year-old stepdaughter.

Family Quarrel Reveals Alleged Molestation Incident

The case surfaced after a quarrel between the victim and her sister at their family home in Kampung Ayer Baruk, Jasin. During the argument, the victim disclosed that the suspect had allegedly molested her at 11:30pm on 27 Jun 2023.

The victim shared her ordeal with her 56-year-old mother on the same day. Her 17-year-old elder sister later claimed she had experienced similar behaviour from the suspect sometime earlier this year.

The victim is the youngest of five siblings in the family.

Police Report Filed, Suspect Arrested Within Hours

The victim lodged a police report at the Jasin Police Station at approximately 1pm on 1 Sep 2025. A team from the Melaka police headquarters responded swiftly to the report.

Police arrested the suspect on the same day.
