Singapore’s medal tally at the 2026 Asian Games has reached 11 medals after Shanti Pereira won gold in the women’s 200m sprint and Loh Kean Yew secured Singapore’s first-ever individual Asian Games badminton medal.
Pereira clocked 22.78 seconds in the women’s 200m final on 27 September to retain the title she won at the Hangzhou Asian Games in 2023. She became the first woman to win the Asian Games 200m title twice.
Loh also made history on the same day by beating Indonesia’s world No. 1 Jonatan Christie 21-14, 21-19 in the men’s singles quarter-final. The win guaranteed him at least a bronze medal, making him the first Singaporean badminton player to win an individual Asian Games medal.

Pereira’s latest victory adds to a strong Games campaign for Singapore, with the sprinter becoming the first woman to retain the Asian Games women’s 200m title.
