According to a spokesperson from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), they received an emergency call at approximately 4.10am on 1 January 2024 at 181 Orchard Road. Subsequently, they conveyed the five affected individuals to SGH.

Initial investigations indicate that the incident resulted from a dispute involving two acquaintances.

Preliminary findings suggest that two of the individuals involved in the incident were already acquainted and got into a heated argument.
