Generally, Sneaky Sushii seems like a very unhappy individual who does what Singaporeans do best: Complaining.
Except, his dry wit, sarcasm and humour made it a very entertaining process.
Who wouldnโt wish that they could insult their boss and have him laugh along with the joke? Definitely me.
But on 6 Dec 2021, Sneaky Sushii uploaded a YouTube video asking his viewers to stop doing something.
And this time, he wasnโt joking.
Hereโs what happened.
Sneaky Sushii Asked His Viewers Not to Harass The People He Made Fun of in His Videos
Just yesterday, YouTuber extraordinaire Sneaky Sushii took to his platform to ask his community to stop harassing people or groups heโs mentioned in his videos.
In the almost four-minute-long video, he claimed that his viewers had been harassing a group that he talked about in his previous video.
The video in question was about a particular property agentโs online listing for rental apartments:
He did not redact the details of the listings that he talked about, and apparently, some of his viewers took the time to search out the listing and harassed the property agent.
They reached out to him and well, thatโs how you got the video.

Itโs For Entertainment Purposes Only
His content, Sneaky Sushii emphasises, is for entertainment purposes only.
It should not be taken as โgospelโ, or โcommandmentsโ, but as a joke instead.
Denouncing his viewers who went ahead to harass the property agent, he clarified that his entire purpose of setting up his YouTube channel is just to share his brand of humour with others.
Not to grow a social justice sentiment and spread them all around the internet. That or identify targets for people who have too much time on their hands and donโt know how to take a joke.
His words, not mine.
Acknowledging that it was only a small part of his viewers who did this, he hopes that the community will continue to be a positive one.

Not The First Time Heโs Said That
Now, if youโre wondering whether Sneaky Sushii-san is saying that people shouldnโt take his content seriously because of the alleged harassment, itโs not.
Back in November, Sneaky Sushii had an interview with South China Morning Post (SCMP) where he said the same thing:
โIโm here to create dope-a** satirical videos โ and if you donโt know the meaning of the word, youโre probably not my target demographic.
โI wouldnโt say that Iโm trying to start a revolution or anything.
โIโm just making videos that are entertaining, and if I can provide some insight into the topic, thatโll be good.
โPeople shouldnโt take my videos so seriously.โ
