Sometimes I wonder whether tech companies are secretly worried about our state of mind. I mean; why else would they create so many damn technical issues?
Obviously to relieve our boredom right?

And it seems that the new iPhone XS and XS Max are no different either.

Which makes you wonder just how proficient tech companies really are at fulfilling customers’ expectations.
A solid 11/10, I reckon.
Some background info (nobody asked for)
So lest you’re unaware, Apple released its latest line of divas just recently:
The iPhone X series.
With the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR the newest additions to the Apple family, customers have been stoked. Because new things. New life. Or so they think. Yayyy.
And true to their expectations, the released XS and XS Max have proven to be a novelty. With new features and ever-increasing screen sizes, the new phones have, for lack of a better phrase, been making pants slightly wetter than they were.
But here’s the thing: while there are undoubtedly good features included in the midst, there are also features that…
I’m pretty sure nobody asked for.

Charging issues (yay)
Apparently, there’s already a prevalent issue with the XS and XS Max.
Charging issues.
Users have reported that their phones refuse to charge while the phone is idle (when the phone is locked), even though the plug is inserted. As a result, you might go to sleep thinking that you’re charging your phone, but in actuality, it’s just sitting there draining energy.
A horror show for the working class, I’m sure.
Additionally, according to 9to5Mac, it’s not just your run-of-the-mill ‘non-charging issue’.

Some devices don’t actually charge until the screen is awoken, either by tapping the screen or utilising Raise to Wake. Others do not charge until the device is “awake”, and the cable is “unplugged and plugged back in”.
Incidentally, Youtube channel Unbox Therapy did an entire video on the issue. You can view it down below.
It’s interesting to note that wireless charging is a go though; which means that it’s probably just a cable charging issue.
Discontent
Rather unsurprisingly, Netizens have taken to Apple’s Reddit forums to broadcast this latest Apple technical issue.

Although it seems that contrary to previous beliefs, the issue isn’t exclusive to just the new phone members of the family. But like everything else, there’s a silver lining to it.
Yes, my disgruntled folks who are really regretting their impulse buys right now; it might not be your phone, but the…
Software.
Specifically, iOS 12.
In other words, don’t worry, you won’t be receiving a free casing (or charger, or phone, or whatever) from Apple anytime soon.
You’ll receive a free software upgrade.

Which, come to think of it, can be pretty expensive. You’ve any idea how much it cost for us to code this app?
