Someone Made a Parody MV About Lorry Driver-Cyclist Incident & It Perfectly Captures the Essence

When is a good, viral thing ever too much for just one man?

Answer: When the count reaches 7.

After writing a whopping 7 articles on the Lorry Driver- Cyclist Saga (LDCS for short), my colleague finally decided to to give this topic a pass today (Iโ€™d think so).

In the latest instalment of the LDCS, Malaysian songwriter, Jordan Fong, has decided to breathe dear new life into this saga by posting a parody MTV of this incident.

A recap

If you werenโ€™t on Earth for the past week, you might have missed one of the most globally virulent videos birthed on our little no one gives two hoots island.

In a summation that puts the S into summation, the aforementioned self-entitled colleague recapped the incident in this 1/7 article alongside 3 quintessential GIFs of the moment(s):

โ€œCyclist rode on the centre of a lane and lorry driver honked him twice. When the lorry driver tried to overtake, the cyclist smashed the lorryโ€™s side mirror with his hand. Lorry then knocked down the cyclist who stood up immediately, though itโ€™s not certain if the lorry driver had panicked and lost control or he did it deliberately.โ€

(By the way, later reports stated that the driver didnโ€™t do it on purpose as the taxi beside it had honked at him)

Despite the obviously UHD grainy image, more questions abound such as:

How many times does the cyclist smirk in a day? Ah beng never whack him before? Why Singaporeans like to act like Sherlock Holmes? Is it really the lorry side mirror, the cyclistโ€™s bottle or Supermanโ€™s new shiny underwear that crashed to the ground?

For these questions with which answers we will never know, itโ€™s best for us to move on and focus on Jordanโ€™s parody MTV, for this is what this article is really about.

Parody MTV

Based on Singaporean singer A-Doโ€™s (้˜ฟๆœ) perhaps one and only hit song ไป–ไธ€ๅฎšๅพˆ็ˆฑไฝ  (He must really love you), the song, ไป–ไธ€ๅฎšๅพˆ็”Ÿๆฐ” (He must be really pissed), is sung from the perspective of someone in admiration of the lorry driverโ€™s action.

He literally is singing praises of the lorry driver I reckon

Hereโ€™s the MTV for your viewing and audio pleasure:

Boasting a view-count of 40K views and over 200 comments since Sunday, I would say Jordan has created quite a piece of 1 Min 33 Sec gem seeing as to how Thrashy Feedโ€™s videos normally get about 6 views in total.

Namely from the staff here and the 1 office cat.

Our northern-ly neighbours (no I donโ€™t mean moral high ground) actually does boast a few household names that one may be surprised to know arenโ€™t Taiwanese/Chinese in origins.

Hereโ€™s some:
